UTE defeated Csíkszereda by the score of 4-1 in the first game of the ERSTE Liga semi finals.
UTE-SC Csíkszereda 4-1 (1-0, 1-1, 2-0)
Both teams started off playing defensively in the first game of the semi finals series however UTE took a 1-0 lead when Arnold Varga scored on a two man advantage. Csíkszereda started to push in the second period and they were able to tie the game up in the 26th minute off of a goal by Krasnoslobodtsev, however before the period was out Csányi surprised Lundström with a shot that beat the goalie and put UTE back on top. UTE played better in the closing period but they were not able to score until the closing minutes of the game when Taylor Stefishen found the back of the net. Before the game was out Stefishen setup Péter Vincze for the fourth UTE goal of the game.
