The second month of play has come and gone in the ERSTE Liga, after the international break the second power rankings have come out.

  1. FTC-Telekom: Ferencváros looks unstoppable as they have won 17 games in a row, which is a new league record. Despite picking up a new head coaching and replacing 16 players, this cast of players have come together very fast. Not only of the import players scoring important goals but so are the Hungarians as well. Ferencváros has played especially well in derby games.
  2. DEAC: The surprise team of this season has continued its great play all month as they are on a four game winning streak. They had great success on their Transylvania road trip as they shut out Csíkszereda behind the great play by Zoltán Hetényi. Goal scoring has not been a problem either for them as they scored 15 goals in their last two games.
  3. Brasov: After a slow start Brasov have gotten things straightened away. In the last ten games they have only lost one game. They had two important wins recently, at UTE and against their rivals Csíkszereda. They always got past HK Budapest with not playing top hockey.
  4. Csíkszereda: After a great start to the season the team stumbled a bit which led to the firing of head coach Leo Gudas. After going through everyone in the league they lost to Ferencváros and DEAC in two shutout loses which was followed by a loss to Brasov. The team also let go of Vlastimil Lakosil and picked up Joakim Ludström.
  5. UTE: The Budapest still can not get on the right path as their season has been up and down. Aside from losing to FTC in the big derby they also lost to Brasov and needed OT to get past Fehérvár. The team has had to deal with a run of injuries but hopeful with everyone getting healthy and the addition of Kiss-Rusk and Duschek from DVTK they can right the ship.
  6. Fehérvár: The young team constantly gives the top teams in the league a hard time. When they do lose they are not blowouts. They picked up a point against UTE beat Brasov. Fehérvár has the least amount of shots on net but also have the highest scoring percentage in the league.
  7. Gyergyó: It looks like the coaching change helped the team. On their last road trip they picked up all nine possible points. Roman Tomanek has been on fire as he has 20 points in 13 games with the team. They still need to improve their defending since Csíkszereda put nine in their cage. They recently picked up Igor Bobcek and Vladislav Karpus.
  8. Dunaújváros: They were only able to win two out of their last eight games, which lead to the firing of Antti Karhula. The new head coach is Gergely Borbás who has the chance to get Dunaújváros back on the winning path.
  9. HK Budapest: Hoki Klub has picked up the pace of the league as they have picked up three wins in the past month including an upset win over Fehérvár. They had a couple of other games where they had the chance to win such as in their games against DAB and Brasov. The import players are health and final contributing to the success.
  10. Vienna Capitals: The team picked up one win in the past month. But have been in contention for most of their games. They need to improve on their defending.
  11. Schiller-Vasas: After a promising September Vasas has hit a wall. They were able to pick up one point in an OT loss to Brasov. Vasas’ biggest problem is the lack of scoring.
