Fradi knocks out DEAC in first semi final game

FTC-Telekom easily beat DEAC in the first game of the ERSTE Liga semifinals.

Since the start of the ERSTE Liga/MOL League history Ferencváros has made it to the semi finals for the first time where they took on DEAC. Renátó Tóth and Levente Lengyel were missing for FTC, DEAC was playing without Hugo Turcotte. It took Fradi 52 seconds to score the opening goal of the game as Adrián Tóth scored from behind the net. Hetényi played well in the DEAC net but Fradi made it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Jászai put a long shot on net that Hetényi saved but Richard Tóth put the rebound onto the tap of Switzer who put it into the back of the net.

Fradi started the second period off with a power play but they were not able to score. Perrier had long shot on net that Hetényi saved but Gergő Nagy was on the spot to put the rebound in. Less than a minute later Rantanen made it 4-0. DEAC at this time switched goalies as Gönczi replaced Hetényi in net.

The scoring picked up in the third period in the 48th minute Silló got DEAC on the scoreboard. Minutes later Walls put Fradi back up by four goals. Later in the closing minutes Izacky scored but Gergó Tóth answered back and in the final minute Walls found the back of the net for the final goal of the game.
