After having an application for the Division 1/A World Championships in Budapest, the Hungarian Ice Hockey Federation has now created an application for the ERSTE Liga as well. The goal of this application to have the fans of the ERSTE Liga to be able to access game action via their phones. The application can notify the user of the start of games, goals and news that has to do with the league.
Álmos Szőke the ERSTE Liga president was one go the first ones to download the app and to use it. He thinks this will help popularize the league among the younger generation.
“It is important to keep up with today’s world and we need to be able to reach the younger generation and potential future fans as well. We want to get the flow of information about the league to speed up. Information will be right at the fingertips of the fans, also there are times when five games are going at once and this helps the fans to be able to keep tabs on multiple games at once.”
